new album: Morningside - Fazerdaze
On May 5th, Fazerdaze released Morningside, their first full-length studio album on Flying Nun Records. It's a great follow-up to their previous releases and expands on that indie, bedroom pop sound that I loved so much about Fazerdaze EP. My favorite tracks as of right now are #1, #2, and #6. This album is such easy listening and perfect for this spring/summer transition of warm weather, sunlight, and happytime with friends.
Not too long ago, Fazerfaze released a music video for my favorite song on Morningside ("Lucky Girl") which can be found here. I am absolutely head-over-heels for this video and have watched it at least thirty times in just the past week. The visuals, the colors, the editing, Amelia Murray-- all way too beautiful and aesthetically pleasing for my lil heart to handle. This radiant, carefree short film and the upbeat pop melody of "Lucky Girl" is my happy place and it makes me want to be surrounded by a field of flowers wearing a primary-colored top and high-waisted denim shorts.
If you liked this album, I would consider checking out: Amo XO - No Vacation, Psychopomp - Japanese Breakfast, and Go With Me - Seapony.
